Vintage Trains

Vintage Trains is the engineering subsidiary of the Birmingham Railway Museum Trust, which is a registered educational charity. The Trust was established to preserve and demonstrate the steam locomotives in the Tyseley collection. Vintage Trains operates trains on the main line using locomotives based at Tyseley Locomotive Works.

The Vintage Trains Society (VTS),is the volunteer support organisation for Vintage Trains. All members share a common interest to preserve steam and railway heritage for the current and future generations. VTS was formerly known as the Friends of Birmingham Railway Museum.

  • Train: Tyseley Station.
  • Bus: no. 37 passes the door.
  • Car/coach: on the main A41 in Tyseley, approximately 3 miles from Birmingham city centre or 4 miles from Solihull.
