    • Annual Membership is available, which allows unlimited access to Birmingham Museums’ museums and heritage sites.

Opening Hours

    • Open Wednesday - Sunday, 10am - 5pm.

    • Last admission to the museum is 4pm.

    • The Science Garden is free from 3pm.

    • During Birmingham school holidays we are open Monday – Sunday, 10am - 5pm.

Disabled Visitors

  • Visitors with Mobility Difficulties
    • Central lifts to all floors.
    • thinktank Theatre has spaces for up to 12 wheelchairs.
    • Accessible toilets on all levels and an adult change facility
      with a hydraulic changing table within thinktank
    • Wheelchairs are available on request free of charge.

     

  • Visitors with Visual Impairments
    • Exhibits have large print captions and large print events
      programmes are available on request.
    • Guide dogs are very welcome in thinktank.
    • Large magnifiers available for loan to visitors.

     

  • Visitors with Auditory Impairments
    • There are induction loops for visitors using hearing aids
      in some areas of the museum, including a portable induction
      loop at the box office.
    • thinktank Theatre also has an induction loop.

     

  • Visitors with Learning Disabilities
    Much of the gallery space is accessible to visitors with learning disabilities. Workshops are available for groups of visitors with learning disabilities.

     

  • Personal assistants will receive free admission to thinktank.

How to get there:

  • thinktank, Millennium Point is easy to get to by road, rail or on foot. It's just 10 minutes walk from Moor Street station, the Bullring shopping centre and the iconic Selfridges building, and 15 minutes walk from New Street station and the central shopping and business districts.

  • For pedestrians there are 'fingerpoint' signs to Millennium Point outside the stations and shopping centres and along the main routes to the building from the city centre.
    For drivers, there are brown tourist attraction signs for 'Thinktank at Millennium Point' on the main routes into the city. 

Parking

  • Birmingham City Council multi-storey car park is situated next to Millennium Point (charges apply) and the entrance is situated off Jennens Road.
