‘Old Yardley’ is one of 29 Conservation Areas in Birmingham, and one of the first to be designated in 1969. The Yardley Conservation Society was set up in 1970 and has been active in our community ever since.

Yardley Conservation Society represents the views of everyone who wants to preserve the beauty and character of the Yardley Conservation Area. As a Society, we work to protect and enhance the Conservation Area, as well as engaging with the community to raise awareness and appreciation of the Conservation Area’s special and unique status. Our vision is for future, as well as current generations, to cherish and protect the Conservation Area as much as we do. We believe that that everyone in our community should have the opportunity to learn about and enjoy the Conservation Area. We also care deeply about the natural environment and the wildlife living within it.
